What is ABS pump repair?

The history of anti-lock braking systems will celebrate its 100th anniversary in a few years, although they were originally used in aviation. Over the years and experience, they have dramatically changed car safety. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever and these systems fail.

Repairing the ABS pump is a complex process, just like the device itself. It consists of a pump, a block and an electronic part. controller. Any of these modules may fail.

There may be many reasons for the failure. Too old fluid affects the braking force, which in turn strains the electronic systems in the ABS pump controller. The filings from the braking system clog the valves. Fluid containing 3% water may cause corrosion of the system. There are also factory defects that will require repair of the ABS module. Regeneration of the ABS pump also means an engine that may fail. The brushes may wear out and the motor itself may burn out or seize up. Please remember that the ABS pump is located under the hood of our car and is exposed to the atmospheric factors that prevail there. The next element of the ABS module repair is the block in which the valves are located. The above-mentioned filings and impurities may cause blocking of valves and thus the failure of the entire system.

Repair of the ABS controller, i.e. the computer module controlling the system, usually involves removing faulty connections inside the device. There are also failures of processors and other components. The coils controlling the valves in the block may also be damaged. Also, repairing ABS controllers while minimizing the electronic components used is very time-consuming and requires high precision.
